Tangible to Provide Payment Solutions to Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kansas City (BCBSKS) and Shamrock Foods McLean, VA, January 2009 – Tangible, a provider of Energy, Security and Consulting solutions to the Public and Private sectors, today announced it has been won two key awards with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kansas City and Shamrock Foods to provide Payment Solutions. BCBSKC is a health insurance company that ensures 880,000 members in 32 counties throughout Missouri and Kansas. BCBSKC is leveraging Tangible Payments for an on-line solution that will help them simplify the new member application process and enable both group and individual policy members to make secure payments on-line in a more efficient manner. Tangible will be providing a customized solution that will utilize two custom payment pages and Tangible’s open Application Programming Interface (API). The initial roll out of Tangible Payments will involve credit card transactions. Shamrock Foods is a Major food distributor throughout the southwest and one of the largest dairy distributors in the country. Shamrock is leveraging Tangible Payments to decrease their days sales outstanding, cut cost and save time. Tangible will be providing Shamrock with the Tangible Payments Portal. The first implementation of this project will include ACH payments for their food distribution only. The next implementation with Shamrock slated for later in 2009 will include credit card transaction and bill presentment for not only the food division but the entire company.
